SLOPES RANGE FROM 0 TO 50 PERCENT.
Dumps, mine is mainly comprised in
this area of piles of low grade coal, carbonaceous shale and ash
that has been left as a result of mining. Re-vegetation of this
area is hard to do because plant material does not like to grow
in acidic conditions.
UkB, UkD, UkF
Shallow to deep, well drained soils formed as a
result of strip mining. They are on nearly level upland slopes.
They have slow to rapid permeability, a low to high available
water capacity, and a seasonal high water table to 6 to 36
inches of the surface during wet periods of the year.
