These are photos of students who have done research that was presented at various psychology conventions over the past five years.
 
Students in the Spring, 1997 Research Methods Class.  This group, Amy Wallace, Lisa Briggs, Damian Kravets, and Eric Fabbri conducted the research project that Amy presented at the 1997 EPA convention.

Amy Wallace and me at the Spring, 1998 Eastern Psychological Association Convention.  Amy presented a paper on the relationship between the Activity Vector Analysis Conformity Vector and Optimism.

 

Karen Hixson presented a paper at the 1998 Pennsylvania Psychological Association Convention on the relationship between performance evaluations and Conscientiousness.  In her independent research paper she found a negative relationship between Conscientiousness and student evaluations of faculty.

Lisa DePaoli, Melody (Brunell) McCune, and Susan Savage at the 2000 Eastern Psychological Association Convention. Each  student completed a different research paper.  Susan's reported on an initial validation study of a career interests survey,  Lisa's poster summarized her research on the Positive and Negative Affect Scale, and Melody reported on her research on the effects on music on mood.  Her poster is the one in the background.

Amy Berkhimer at the 2002 Eastern Psychological Association Convention with her paper on teacher stress.  Amy and I did phone solicitations at over 70 high schools in Western Pennsylvania to get a sample for this paper in which she evaluated the types of stress secondary school teachers face.

 

Clarissa Thompson  at the 2003 Eastern Psychological Convention Conference.  Clarissa's presentation was on the influence of music on mood. 

 

Holly Miskey at the 2005 Eastern Psychological Association Convention.  Her presentation was titled, " Self-inflicted harm and its relationship to impulsivity levels and compulsive behavior".
