This is a list of internet sites that you might like to check out.  I found it difficult to categorize them, so I have listed the sites,  noted the courses to which they might apply, and added some comments about the site.   I encourage visitors to let me know additional sites that they recommend for this page (e-mail).

Graduate School in Psychology

APA Student Information


This section of the APA site provides a ton of graduate program information.  Unfortunately some of the more interesting sections require you to pay to enroll in the site.

Doctoral Programs Meeting Designation Criteria


This site contains all doctoral psychology programs that conform to standards established by the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards.  Graduates of these programs may sit for licensure as a psychologist.

Brief descriptions of schools and their programs offering Master's and Doctoral training in various areas including clinical and counseling psychology. 

Clinical Psychology Graduate Programs


A site that will help search for schools.  You can search by region.

This site contains rankings of doctoral psychology programs.

Encyclopedia of Psychology.  This site contains lists of links to more than 550 other psychology sites including links to career sites, history of psychology, and lots of other cool stuff.

Psychological Resources has links to numerous sites relating to a variety of teaching topics.

This is the home site for the Association for Black Psychologists.

APA Ethical Principles


This is a complete text version of the APA Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct.

This site is set for the Nairne text.  It contains practice quizzes for each chapter in the book. 
Self Test

This site has a self-test with questions and answers for the key concepts covered in most general psychology courses.  It is a good way to assess your knowledge.

SIOP

This is the home page for the Society for Industrial/Organizational Psychology.

Research Methods

Cozby

This is the home page of Paul C. Cozby, the author of one of the better Research Methods texts.  It has lots of good information including a list of links to other web sites.

Research Labs

This page contains links to some of the research laboratories with on-line pages.

Research Reports

This site provides an excellent writing guide for APA format reports.

Psychological Testing

FACT

This is the Fair Access Coalition for Testing (FACT) site.  It contains information from a group dedicated to fair testing practices.  It is an advocacy/lobbying group that seeks to make tests more available to non-psychologists.

BUROS

This site provides information on Buros Mental Measurements books and psychological test locater and review information. It uses the ERIC database for its test locater.

Test Finder

This is one of the ERIC sites.  It is a psychological test locater.    Enter the trait you want to measure and this site will search a database of more than 10,000 tests to see find tests that assess this trait.

Code of Fair Testing Practices

This is the Code of Fair Testing Practices in Education published in The American Psychologist in 1992.  It spells out guidelines for test developers and test users in education.

Ethical Standards for School Counselors 

This is one page on the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) site.  It is a full version of the ethical standards for school counselors.  You have to register to access this site.

This site has tons of links to locations dealing with social psychology.

Social Psychology Research

This site provides links to on-line research in social psychology.

Other Interesting Sites

REF

This site contains many reference and on-line research aids for students writing papers including dictionaries, thesaurus, several language translators, etc.  Highly recommended.

NURC

 
This is the National Undergraduate Research Clearinghouse.    It contains complete  research papers completed by undergraduates.   Good place for ideas and excellent models for good research papers.

ERIC

Educational Resources Information Center.   This is a huge, publicly funded research database.  Takes some work to figure it out; I've linked to the Home Page. 

EBLAST

This is the Encyclopedia Britannica's search site.  It tends to be much more academically oriented than other search sites.
