Registration will
begin at 7:00AM to Noon and fishing will begin at 8:00AM Sharp!
Awards, trophies and prizes will be
presented at 2:00PM-3:00PM
The event will be
held at California’s Rotary Park.
The Pike Run Youth Fishing Festival is California’s
largest & longest running community recreational event of the year!
Entertainment will
be provided, so bring fishing rod (or borrow one of ours!), tackle, bait and let's have some FUN!
Expert fishing guides will be on hand to answer questions or help you learn how
to catch trout!
This event provides a great
family atmosphere for parents and children.
Games, Activities, Face Painting, a Bounce House & Happy the Clown w/ Balloon
Animals!
Vendors will be on hand selling bait,
tackle, food & drinks.

2012 Pike Run Youth Fishing Festival
Rules and Regulations
Schedule:
-
Registration: Saturday, April 21, 2012 @ 7:00 a.m. to
Noon
-
Fishing begins at 8:00 a.m.
-
The
weigh-in & measuring will end at 2:00 p.m. and prizes will be awarded
shortly after.
YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO COLLECT YOUR AWARD.
Who can
fish?
Rules
and Regulations:
-
No
wading, fishing from
shoreline only!
-
No
vehicles, animals or bikes permitted on the track.
-
Any
bait that is permitted by PA Fish & Boat Commission can be used.
-
The
age groups for the festival are as follows:
-
First, Second, and Third prizes will be given for each age group.
-
A
limit of 5 fish can be caught and only 3 can be entered for judging.
-
All fish
caught & kept and fish that are caught & released during the fishing
festival must be reported at checkout/registration table.
-
All
participants must register with the registration table at the festival from
7:00 a.m. to 12:00 - noon.
-
The
entire posted area will be open to contestant fishing ONLY!
-
Each
participant is only permitted to use one fishing rod.
-
Only
fish from the posted area are eligible for judging.
-
Parents/guardians are not permitted to reel in fish, but may assist their
child with baiting and de-hooking.
-
All fish entered will be weighed and
measured for their score; the fish must be a minimum of 7" in length (seven
inches).
-
The
final score will be based on total length of the up to the 3 largest trout.
-
All
fish entered in the contest must be taken to the official weighing/measuring
tent
Please enter ALL fish caught even if practicing catch & release fishing
We need to report all fish caught to PA Fish & Boat Commission!
-
The
participant must take all fish caught home (unless practicing catch &
release fishing).
-
NO Littering,
please pick up any litter you see, let's keep our streams clean!
Remember to Leave No Trace & Tread Lightly!
