Nanotechnology at CUP

The California University of Pennsylvania is a member of the Pennsylvania Nanofabrication Manufacturing Technology Partnership.  Students of the California University of Pennsylvania have the opportunity to pursue nanotechnology through the various programs  offered by the University.  While the 6 courses that comprise the capstone semester are taken at the Penn State Nanotechnology Center in State College, students register for those course at California University and pay the California University tuition and fees.  Students may only register for the 6 nanotechnology courses once they have been accepted into the Penn State capstone semester.  Students wishing to pursue the nanotechnology program should contact :

Pennsylvania NMT Partnership

The Pennsylvania Nanofabrication Manufacturing Technology (NMT) Partnership is a higher education collaborative dedicated to creating and updating a workforce in Pennsylvania trained in the field of nanotechnology.  the NMT academic programs are offered by partner institutions and include associate degree, baccalaureate degree, and certificate pathways to an education in nanotechnology.  These pathways open the door to well-paying careers in a variety of industries such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, micro-electromechanical devices (MEMs), opto-electronics, sensors, information storage, power electronics, and microelectronics.  The Penn State Center for Nanotechnology Education and Utilization (CNEU) is the home of the NMT Partnership.  More information on the CNEU and NMT Partnership is available at

www.cneu.psu.edu

The application form for the capstone semester can be downloaded by clicking on the hyperlink below.  Application must be through on of the CNEU participating school.  Students at California should complete the first page with their personal information and send that page to Dr. Thompson.
