She'll be in Mexico city for Christmas with her Dad and her family there.
She spent three months in Mali and Senegal last year where she learned to sculpt wood using traditional Malian tools and techniques. She visited Timbuktu, the Dogon villages, canoed up the Niger River and lived with a Malian family.
When she is not traveling, Bernadette works as an activist and lives in the Bay Area of California.
