 I was born in Australia and lived there, in England and in Paraguay before coming to the United States.  I became a citizen of  the US on August 25, 2000.  I have one child, a daughter, Bernadette Moreno and a pet Yorkie.  I am a sculptor and a teacher.

Friends describe me as flamboyant because I wear bright colors and embrace life with joy and enthusiasm.  I believe that there is much good in the world and that Mr. Rogers is right when he sings “You are special.”  I am also deeply committed to making the world better.  I am not an activist like my daughter but we agree on many things and she has taught me a great deal about the things that need to be changed in the world and ways to accomplish those changes.  It is my faith that I can be an instrument of goodness that inspires me to teach my students, help others in need, and accept each day as a special gift.   Within my circle of influence, I try to inspire others to become excited about learning and living and to set an example for both.
