Prentice Hall, ISBN: 0-13-182405-8

COURSE SUPPLIES

3½-inch diskettes will be needed for your lab work and for homework submissions. The textbook MUST be brought to every class. Paper and a pen or a pencil may be needed for class notes.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS

This course is primarily a hands-on course. The student is expected to attend ALL labs, go through the steps of all the tutorials in the textbook, and ask the instructor for help whenever needed. The student should work all the assignments. This should be completed before the next class meeting. Some homework problems will be collected and graded as quizzes. Students are expected to use a word processor (e.g. MS WORD) in typing their homework reports, if needed.

ATTENDANCE

It is MANDATORY that each student attends all classes. Attendance is rewarded by points in the final grade. The student is responsible for all the material covered in a particular class, including the announcement of future quizzes, even if he/she misses that class. If a student misses a class he/she should obtain the class notes from a fellow student and review this material before contacting the instructor for any assistance. There are no makeup tests or quizzes except for extraordinary reasons. A missed assignment, test or quiz is recorded as a 0.
