The premier organization for technology education is the International Technology Education Association (ITEA). Statewide, the Technology Education Association of Pennsylvania (TEAP) helps students and teachers to deal with technology education issues and helps students through organizations like the Pennsylvania Technology Students Association (PA-TSA). There are many more organizations interested in technology and technology education...these are a few of those.
Safety is extremely important in technology education. Safety, both within and outside the classroom, is up to you. Become familiar with the equipment. Know how to safely operate the machine. Wear proper safety equipment. These are common sense tips for all machines. Some links on equipment safety are included here to help you understand and become familiar with common equipment. Always ask permission before running any machine.
