Opalina ranarum from the rectum of Rana pipiens. This
opalinid is ciliated but not a ciliate, divides like a flagellate but is not a
flagellate, and has multiple nuclei.....hence the separate superclass.. The
entire group is only found to inhabit the rectum of amphibians. The small
granules seen inside are nuclei. 400x.
