in which a small amount of skeletal muscle can be seen at the upper margin of
the image. The upper part of the scolex has sections through the rostellum,
thus enabling this to be identified as Taenia spp. 40x

fluid-filled bladder. Skeletal muscle can be seen to the upper right and
lower right. Ingestion of the egg capsules of this tapeworm by humans leads to
dire consequences, when the cysticerci develop in the definitive host, often in
