This is the midbody of the female Schistosoma mansoni with the anterior end toward the right. The
oval body seen in the middle is the ovary which gives rise to a posteriorly-exiting
oviduct which swings around the ovary and then continues anteriorly. The slightly
brownish duct is the vitelline duct. 100x
